Tribeca Public Relations (Tribeca) has been recognised on the global stage at the annual PRCA Platinum Awards, winning the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion category for its work on the Epson Champions Education campaign, and receiving a highly commended certificate in the “Event / Launch of the Year category for the launch of Coca-Cola Wozzaah – the first Coke created in Africa, for Africa.
The Epson Champions Education campaign demonstrated how access to education and technology can open doors. By providing under-resourced schools with printers, projectors, visualisers and training, Epson helped transform classrooms, improve literacy and empower educators and learners.
“This campaign set out to celebrate diversity and inclusion in education. Being recognised for this is rewarding for both us and our client,” says Nicky James, co-founder and managing director at Tribeca.
The Coca-Cola Wozzaah launch earned a highly commended certificate for its cultural relevance and creativity. The campaign tapped into youth culture with music, fashion and digital experiences that celebrated self-expression and local pride. By positioning Wozzaah as more than just a drink - but a cultural statement - the campaign resonated strongly with younger audiences and drove excitement across the continent.
“These awards aren’t just about a trophy, they’re about proving that South African ideas hold their own anywhere in the world, and South Africa really showed up this year,” she says.
The PRCA Platinum Awards celebrate some of the most effective communications campaigns worldwide, recognising work that makes a measurable difference.
